Dell Latitude D520

The Dell Latitude D520 is a bulky business model notebook having dimensions of 336 W x 275 D x 40 H inches and weighing around 2.8Kg. It includes 14.1 inch WXGA+ wide screen having a resolution of 1,024 x 768 and also an optional SXGA+ display with 1,400 x 1,050 of resolution. D520 is powered by Intel’s latest GMA950 integrated graphics to support standard office applications. Dell Latitude D610

The Dell Latitude D610 is lightweight, solid and high capacity business laptop with decent battery life. The Sonoma based Latitude D610 is an excellent machine to use with 14.1 inch SXGA+ display screen having 1400 x 1050 resolution, Pentium M 760 Processor (2.0 GHz with 533 MHZ FSB), 512 MB (2 x 256) PC3200-DDR2 (400 MHz), and an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 graphics card.

D610 comes in a dark silver case having dimensions of 1.2 inches thick, 12.4 inches wide, and 10.1 inches deep. The keyboard features surprisingly large keys; especially Enter, Shift, Backspace and Tab are even larger than most desktop keyboards. It also features a track point and a touch pad of standard size with two buttons each but no scroll areas. Latitude D610 includes all the ports and connections that most business users need like serial and parallel ports, S-Video out, Gigabit Ethernet, one Type II PC Card slot, an integrated smart card slot, and microphone and headphone jacks.

Dell Latitude D410

Dell Latitude D410 is a 3.8 pound ultra-light; 1.2 inch thick ultra-portable and good performance laptop. All these features and long battery life makes it a travel companion. The Latitude D410 is packed with an Intel Pentium M 760 Processor (2 GHz with 533 MHz FSB) based on the 915 GM chipset with 512 Megs of 533 MHz DDR2 RAM.

Latitude D410 is based on the Intel’s Centrino notebook platform, ‘Sonoma’, which brings support for PCI Express, Serial ATA hard disks, DDR2 memory, and the new Express Card format. The display screen used is 12.1 inch XGA (1024 x 768) resolution screen which is conventional 4:3 ratio but it lacks the high contrast reflective coating. The keyboard is not comfortable to use because of small sized keys but the keyboard features the dual navigation and speaker volume control/mute buttons available above the keyboard.
